Abusive noise

What is the legal status of the illegal noise levels, created and ignored every Friday night, all summer on public property, on the fairgrounds by our McCook Police Department, City Council, fairboard and county commissioners?

In 2002 noise testing was done, the race promoter quit, but now a new race promoter picks up where he left off with 15 new races scheduled for 2003 and is already selling season tickets for 2003 season.

How do our current elected officials get away with ignoring existing laws and ordinances on noise levels created within the city limits of McCook.

The McCook Police should do their job and shut down this abusive noise on public property.
