Forgotten wheel

Dear Editor,

I did not know that the Midwest had seceded from the Union 'til the president gave his state of the Union address.

Not once was the word farm or farmer, ranch or rancher, drought or shortage of water mentioned in 45 minutes of supposedly a state of the Union address.

Well, Mr. President, the center of the wheel of your country is falling apart. How many farm sales will there be this spring and this coming fall? That number will be astronomical. It's for sure the little farms and ranches will suffer first, on this president's watch.
