Lincoln couple united in marriage

LINCOLN -- Seri Sandman and Jesse Neal, both of Lincoln, were united in marriage July 27, 2002, at Lincoln Berean Church in Lincoln with Pastor Stan Parker officiating.

Parents of the couple are Kirk and Cindy Sandman of Wauneta and Steve and Sharon Neal of North Platte.

Grandparents of the couple are Ruth Madron of McCook, Virgil and Edie Sandman of Wauneta, LaVerne and Doris Neal of Tryon and Gary and Irma Baker of North Platte.

The bride wore a satin, princess line, strapless dress. The top was beaded and the train was chapel-length. The entire gown was decorated with rhinestones. A tiny belt with a rhinestone buckle encircled the waist of the gown. The head piece was a rhinestone tiara with a satin etched waist-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridegroom wore a black tuxedo with a silver vest and a black tie. His boutonniere was a white rose.

Ane and Tami Sandman of Lewisville, Texas, sisters of the bride, served as the maids of honor. The bridesmaids were Meredith Phillips of Mission, Kan., Jennifer Jenny of Crete, Nancy and Amy Neal of North Platte, sisters of the bridegroom, and Allison Sandman of Wauneta, sister-in-law of the bride. They each wore a strapless cobalt blue satin gown. They were floor-lenth with an empire waist and beaded trim. They carried a bouquet cluster of Gerbera daisies and other assorted seasonal flowers, wrapped in white ribbon. The bride's personal attendants were Carrie Penner of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Leslie Smith of Lincoln.

Joel Smith of Lincoln served as the best man. The bridegroomsmen were Rob Brownell of Omaha, Ruel Danner of Chadron, Matt Neal of North Platte, brother of the bridegroom, and Andrew and Derek Sandman of Wauneta, brothers of the bride. They each wore a black tuxedo with silver ties and vests. Their boutonnieres were mini Gerbera daisies.

The flower girl was Kaylee Roush of Lakewood, Colo., cousin of the bride. She wore a floor-length white satin gown and she carried a flowerball with the same color of flowers as the bridesmaids. Jared Lamb of Fairplay, Colo., cousin of the bride served as the ring bearer. He wore a tuxedo that matched the bridegrooms.

Ushers for the ceremony were Aaron Berger of Eastern, Colo., Jeremy Ideus, Mark Lavin, Tom Raddel, Ryan Sharp, all of Lincoln, and Eddie Lobatos of Cheyenne, Wyo.

The pianist for the ceremony was Delores Flaming of Wauneta. Tami Leadabrand, Stacy Chupp and Melanie Torrez were vocalists for the ceremony. Mike and Melody Kenney of Lincoln, aunt and uncle of the bride, played guitars and sang.

A reception was held at the church. The host couples were Doug and Judy Blank of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Aaron and Jenn Marshbanks of Lincoln. The guestbook attendant was Wendy Carte of Lowell, Ark.

The cake servers were Kim Brown, Rachel Parker and Parrish Smith of Lincoln.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Wauneta/Palisade High School and a 2000 graduate of John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. She is employed at First State Bank in Lincoln as an operations officer.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of North Platte High School and a 1999 graduate of Chadron State College. He is in his last year at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry.

The couple is making their home in Lincoln.
