Mahoney Park site of ceremony
ASHLAND -- Stephanie Kaye Linner and Ron Chloupek were united in marriage Sept. 21, 2002, in an outdoor ceremony at Mahoney State Park near Ashland with the Honorable Robert Wester officiating.
Parents of the couple are Doug and Kaye Linner of Hendley and J.W. and Diana Chloupek of Omaha.
The bride wore a white princess-style sleeveless gown with heavily beaded bodice. She wore a tiara and carried fall flowers. Her attendants each wore gold shimmering gowns in various styles. The men each wore tuxedos.
Stacie Van Pelt of York and Lindsay Steer of Hastings, sisters of the bride, were matrons of honor. Joy Chloupek of Omaha, sister of the bridegroom was the bridesmaid.
Shannon Godfrey of Kearney, the bridegroom's cousin was the best man, and Joe Bing of Lincoln was the bridegroomsman.
Troy Van Pelt and Johnny Steer served as ushers for the ceremony.
The couple and many of their guests traveled to and from the ceremony site by the park's trolley car. The reception was at Riverview Lodge in the park. The bride made all of the flowers for the ceremony and her sister, Lindsay, made the cake.
The couple honeymooned in Colorado.
The bride is a 1991 graduate of Republican Valley High School and a 1995 graduate of Wayne State College. The bridegroom is a 1992 graduate of Millard South High School and a graduate of Metro Community College.
The couple will make their home in Papillion.
