Three win rate of gain at RW Fair

Three Livestock exhibitors at the Red Willow County Fair received recognition for their animals performance in the Rate of Gain competition.

In Market Beef Nick O'Dea's market steer had the top rate of gain by gaining 3.903 pounds per day.

Kenton Kircher's Market lamb had the top rate of gain by gaining .934 pounds per day. Matt Wolfe's had the top two swine to win both divisions of the carcass contest.

In Division I hogs weighing 220-245 pounds the winning hog dressed 64.43 percent lean. In Division II hogs weighing 246-270 Matt Wolfe's hog also won with a 62.84 percent lean.
