Cambridge man killed in collision

EUSTIS -- A 52-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon on a county road south of Eustis. Robert A. (Bob) Burke of rural Cambridge was driving a loaded straight truck which collided with a tractor and disk that was hung up and was blocking an old style banister bridge on a minimum maintenance road.
The tractor was unoccupied at the time of the collision. The tractor operator had attempted to flag down the truck to warn Burke, but Burke was unable to get the truck, which was descending a steep hill, stopped in time to avoid the collision. Burke was pronounced dead at the scene.
