Jay Austin, General Manager of the Prairie 93.9 and Paul Aaron, Managing Partner of the Pinnacle Sports Network have announced plans to bring local University of Nebraska, Husker Sports broadcasts back to Southwest Nebraska. The first broadcast will the Nebraska vs. Colorado football game in Lincoln on Saturday, Nov. 29, including the pre-game and post-game programs.

In addition to the Prairie's regular weeknight ESPN Radio programming, the station will soon carry Pinnacle's Sports Nightly with Jim Rose, from 6-8 p.m. weeknights. The station will also provide extensive coverage of other University of Nebraska Sports, including men and women's basketball, volleyball and the nationally competitive baseball team. The Prairie plans to continue carrying its broadcast of McCook Community College basketball.

Austin said, "There was a tremendous amount of public feedback when the Coyote Country contract with Pinnacle Sports Productions expired in the summer of 2000 and no local station carried the games. We are pleased to have worked out a mutually beneficial arrangement to bring these popular University of Nebraska broadcasts back to Southwest Nebraska for the next five years."
