MCC signup starts Monday
North Platte -- General Registration for the 2003 Spring term will begin Monday at all campus locations including McCook Community College, North Platte Community College, Broken Bow, Ogallala and Valentine Extended Campuses -- all divisions of Mid-Plains Community College.
The spring term begins on Jan. 13. Numerous class opportunities are being offered this spring -- not only during traditional times but also in late afternoon, evening and on weekends. While students may register through the first week of classes in January, it is recommended that students wanting to take classes in the upcoming term, complete the process now to reserve a seat as class sections tend to fill up quickly.
Beginning next week, copies of the spring schedule will be mailed to households in all 18 counties that constitute Mid-Plains Community College Area.
Schedule contents include traditional day and night course offerings in McCook and North Platte and sections for classes held in Broken Bow, Ogallala, and Valentine. Further, there are special sections for off-campus classes taught via distance learning and for on-line Internet Classes.
The spring 2003 class schedule may also be accessed through the Schedule Drop Down Box located on the home page of the institution's Web site at www.mpcca.cc.ne.us/.
According to many current students, the registration process has become extremely easy to complete. If a person has been enrolled in classes within the past two years, he or she must simply fill out a registration form (found on the back of the schedule) and submit it to the closest MPCC Admissions Office.
If the person is a new student, an MPCC Application Form must accompany the registration form. You may pick up an Application at any MPCC site or download a copy from the institution's Web site. There is no charge for the application or its submission.
For more information, contact the admissions department in McCook (308) 345-6303 ext. 253.
To enroll for other off-campus/distance learning classes, use the contact phone numbers listed in the schedule, or the admissions departments listed above.
