Cambridge Tasting Tea promises delicious treats
CAMBRIDGE -- Cambridge merchants and the Chamber of Commerce plan their 12th annual "Christmas Tasting Tea," Friday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Merchants around the community will share holiday treats and recipes, Santa Claus will visit and Christmas carolers will stroll the streets. The theme of the day is, "Let it Snow, Let It Snow."
Security First Insurance will serve:
PINEAPPLE
STRAWBERRY PUNCH
2 10-oz. pkgs. frozen strawberries sweetened, sliced and thawed
1 46-oz. can pineapple juice, chilled
4 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled
In a food processor or blender, puree strawberries. Pour into a large punch bowl. Stir in the pineapple juice and soda. Serve immediately. Yields 12 servings. Twin Valleys Public Power District will serve:
PEANUT BLOSSOMS
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1/3 cup water
Hershey's Kisses
Mix first four ingredients and shape into one-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes. Take out of oven and press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie until the edges crack.
Variation: Use chocolate cake mix and Hershey's Hugs and Kisses.
