Special study session set

Monday, January 13, 2003

Members of the McCook City Council will have a special study session Monday, 7:30 p.m. to receive orientation of the city's 2003-04 budget and to develop a City Council Top Ten Priority List.

The council will also be asked to introduce and approve an ordinance authorizing the sale of the former McCook Army Air Force Base property.

The property was sold Wednesday at a multi parcel auction to Norm Timmerman of Timmerman Land and Cattle for $2 million. The sale was approved at a special meeting of the McCook City Council following the auction when Don Hazlett of Farm and Ranch Realty presente Mayor Jerda Garey with a $200,000 earnest check.

The council also will receive and file a final report from Olsson Associates. Those reports will include a conceptual level report on groundwater treatments, and a well field evaluation report.
