In varsity doubles, Gull-Lyster, No. 1, lost 8-3 and Brooks-Abercrombie, No. 3, lost 8-1.
"The team played well and the effort was outstanding," said McCook tennis coach Matt Weimers. "Moriah and Kelsey closed out their tennis careers at home by winning both singles matches.
"Those two have helped us out a lot this season and it was great to have them out again. They have both done a great job of recovering from injuries and getting back on the court.
"Kim played well and did a good job of hustling after balls. She always gives 100 percent and outworks her opponents. She also won her doubles match as her and Tausha picked up a key win.
"They beat a good Ogallala team and I was impressed with their play."
The McCook junior varsity squad lost to Ogallala 6-5.
JV singles winners were Alicia Shaffer, 6-4; Jessica Battreall, 6-3; and Jennifer Chmiel, 6-1.
Doubles winners were Shaffer-Battreall, 7-6; Chmiel-Regina Rawlings, 6-0; and Ashley Hancock-Madison Robuck, 7-6.
Courtney Clapp lost in singles 6-2.
Dropping doubles matches were Clapp-Ulla Schmelter, 6-1; 6-1; Julie Howard-Allyx Shield, 6-3; Lorena Cruz-Kendra Bates, 6-1; and Chmiel-Rawlings, 6-3.
"We have some excellent talent on the JV squad," Wiemers said. "Next year, we will need to have them step up and be contributors to our success.
"These were the last matches for them and I want to thank them for their effort and time. They should all feel good about the season and I appreciate their dedication."
In the Holdrege match, Serbousek won at No. 4 singles 8-4 and Abercrombie won at No. 6 singles 9-7.
Dropping singles matches were Escher, No. 1, 8-1; Gull, No. 2, 8-1; Lyster, No. 3, 8-3; and Brooks, No. 5, 9-7.
Dropping doubles matches were Gull-Lyster, No. 1, 8-3; Escher-Serbousek, No. 2, 9-8; and Brooks-Abercrombie, No. 3, 8-1.
"We had opportunities to win matches, but just couldn't finish the job" Wiemers said. "Angela picked up a big win, which will help her build some confidence going into the GNAC meet (Greater Nebraska Athletic Conference).
"She played a smart match and showed a lot of heart by battling back and winning the match. Kim continues to play well. She does a good job of hustling and not making many errors. She has had a great season.
"Holdrege has a great team, but we didn't play with the intensity we did against Ogallala."
The McCook JV team lost 6-3 to Holdrege.
Battreall won her singles match 6-2. Chmiel and Rawlings won two doubles matches 7-6 (7-4) and 6-0.
Dropping JV singles matches were Shaffer, 7-5 and Robuck, 6-1. Falling in JV doubles were Shaffer-Battreall, 6-3; Howard-Shields, 6-3; and Cruz-Bates, 6-2.
The Bison girls tennis team closes the regular season with the GNAC meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hastings.
The Class B state tennis tournament is slated for May 22-23 at Lincoln.
"We have six days to prepare for state," Wiemers said. "With only having six girls to work with (for state), we will take advantage of their practice.
"This season has been fun and the team performed well. They all worked hard and I hope they had a fun season."
