Week 1 NFL Rankings
Well the first week saw some exciting games but also saw more questions than answers. Will the Cowboys truly survive without Romo and a rookie starting? How bad is Washington? And many more.
Rankings
1. New England Patriots/1-0
For now, it appears that the Patriots truly are a team where if someone is injured or suspended, it's next person up. Jimmy Garrafalo seemed at home in the Patriots offense and they beat one of the teams considered a front runner for the Super Bowl, the Arizona Cardinal at their field.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers/1-0
If they perform even remotely close to how they did against Washington they will extremely difficult to beat. They looked like they were at mid-season form. Naturally, the bigger question coming out of their game against Washington will be did they look that good or is Washington that bad? For now, I'm inclined to think they look this good.
3. Green Bay Packers/1-0
They took on a difficult Jacksonville team at home and took away the victory. They look, for now, like the class of the NFC.
4. Kansas City Chiefs/1-0
It was not pretty, but the Chiefs came back in an amazing way and won the first game in overtime. They did this without their running back who is still recovering from an injury last season.
5. Tampa Bay Bucs/1-0
This team look completely different after the first game and they look pretty good. This could all fall a part this coming week but for right now they look like one of the best teams in the league.
6. Cincinnati Bengals/1-0
7. Philadelphia Eagles/1-0
8. Denver Broncos/1-0
9. Baltimore Ravens San Francisco 49ers*/1-0
10. New York Giants/1-0
11. Detroit Lions/1-0
12. Oakland Raiders/1-0
13. Houston Texans/1-0
14. Seattle Seahawks/1-0
15. Minnesota Vikings/1-0
16. Baltimore Ravens/1-0
17. Carolina Panthers/0-1
18. New Orleans Saints/0-1
19. San Diego Chargers/0-1
20. Jacksonville Jaguars/0-1
21. Dallas Cowboys/0-1
22. Indianapolis Colts/0-1
23. Buffalo Bills/0-1
24. Atlanta Falcons/0-1
25. Tennessee Titans/0-1
26. Arizona Cardinals/0-1
27. Chicago Bears
A new year, but the same old Bears. They look awful but not as bad as the rest of the field. With the other teams looking decent right now this is bad news for the Bears, get it? The Bad News Bears? Is this microphone even on?
28. Miami Dolphins
As awful as the Seahawks looked on Sunday, the Dolphins should have run away with the ball game. Instead they lost, so they are just not a good team.
29. New York Jets
The J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets looked like the same old team on Sunday. They had that game wrapped up and somehow managed to lose anyways. Looks like another long season for Jets fans.
30. Cleveland Browns
They are just awful. Had Washington and the Rams not looked so horrible the Browns would have been in last.
31. Washington
I honestly thought that they would be the Steelers last night and boy I could have not been more wrong. They looked like a tire fire from the word go.
32. Rams
Not only was the offense horrible, the defense looked worse. This team is not a dumpster fire but a five alarm fire. Congratulations, LA for taking this team from StL.
* - I miss the old days of being corrected on every mistake I make. I released this with the Ravens in the rankings twice and no 49ers. Mistake has been corrected.
