OBERLIN, Kan. - Dorothy Ann Moore, 91, of Oberlin, Kan., passed away early Thanksgiving morning, in hospice care, Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, at her daughter’s home in rural McLouth, Kan.
“Sweet” Dorothy was born April 30, 1933, at the family farm, the daughter of Richard F. and Martha K. Friedemann Reith. After graduation, she taught school at Decatur, Ill. Lutheran Parochial School before teaching at Lund Lutheran Parochial School. Dorothy was a homemaker, mother and farm wife for many years, baking (hundreds of) dozens of cinnamon rolls, raising a huge garden, canning, cooking for her family and farm hands.
She married Melvin Moore (div) and to this union there were three children.
