Donna (Stritt) Kraszewski

CARSON, Calif. - Donna (Stritt) Kraszewski of Carson, CA, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 26, 2024. Born to Herman and Mary Ann (Kohmetscher) Stritt, Donna was the third of their children. She spent her childhood on the family farm north of Bartley and graduated from Bartley Public School. Donna pursued a degree in cosmetology at McCook Beauty Academy.
In Lincoln, Neb., Donna met the love of her life, Tad Kraszewski. They married on Aug. 14, 1977, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Indianola, Neb. Their journey together took them to Seattle, Wash., and eventually to the Los Angeles area, where they made their home.
Donna’s love of cooking, long walks, and shopping was well-known among family and friends. She was a devoted mother, supporting her daughter Kristina’s tennis career from its early days through college and into the professional realm. Donna’s generous spirit and willingness to help others were hallmarks of her character.
Preceding Donna in death were her parents, Herman and Mary Ann Stritt, and her sister-in-law, Rose Stritt. She is survived by her loving husband, Tadeusz Kraszewski of Carson, Calif.; her daughter, Kristina Babcock of Houston, Tex.; and her cherished grandchildren, Carter and Cameron. Donna also leaves behind her siblings: Dale Stritt of Indianola, Joan Quelle of Rochester, Minn., Pat Stritt (Ivy) of Bartley, Mary Ogorzolka (Lloyd) of Indianola, Janice Bamesberger (Phil) of Indianola, Jerry Stritt (Denise) of Hays, Kan., and Gloria Kohl (Barry) of McCook. She will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Donna’s legacy of kindness, hard work, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning, Dec. 13, 2024 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Indianola with Father Michael Houlihan celebrating. Burial in the St. Catherine Cemetery will follow services.
