Runners, stories featured at First Tuesday

McCOOK, Neb. — It takes a special kind of athlete to run the hilly streets of McCook day in and day out.

The Buffalo Commons Storytelling and Music Festival planning committee will spotlight these dedicated runners at a First Tuesday event Oct. 1 from 7 – 8 pm at Embers Bakery.

Longtime coach Tom Sughroue and members from the boys and girls cross country teams will be featured.

Stories from practices, watermelon runs and competitions are sure to be included.

Participants in the Republican River Valley Fitness Series events are also invited to share a tale or two.

As always, listeners from the public are welcome as well.
