Bison finish Sports Drink scrimmage, season kicks next week

McCOOK, Neb. — Following Saturday’s debut, the McCook Bison played their second scrimmage Thursday evening in their annual “Sport Drink” event at Weiland Field.

Watch for comments from Bison coaches in an upcoming edition.

They’ll entirely focus now on the season opener at Beatrice one week from tonight as McCook makes its return to Class B football after two seasons of playing in Class C-1.

Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, in Beatrice. A full preview appears next week.
