Putting it all on the table: league delivers titles, MVPs, milestones

McCOOK, Neb. — Several local pool players were recognized for winning the Spring Session of the American Poolplayers Association (APA) 8-Ball and 9-Ball Pool Leagues.

Winning the Sunday 8-Ball titles were “Shooters 8-Ball” out of Eagles Club in McCook and “Just 1 More” in Hayes Center.

Players are not listed as they appear in team photos.

Sunday League MVP awards went to Marie Wilkinson, Stephen Norton, Burton Burton, Rob Dike, Steven Dailey, and Reese Troutman.

The Monday 8-Ball championship went to “We Run Out” out of TJ’s Family Fun Center in McCook including (second photo at right) EmiLene Sides, Steve Bartlett, Marty Bartlett, David Wright, and Joni Wright.

Not shown are Marcie Doak, Orrin Riggs, and Adam Wright.

The winning teams each session advance to the Western Nebraska APA World Qualifiers to compete for trips to the APA World Pool Championships in Las Vegas.

A new session starts in September.

The last day to register a team is Friday, August 25.
