College board meets here Wednesday
McCOOK, Neb. - The Mid-Plains Community College Board of Governors is set to convene for its regular session on Wednesday, April 17, at McCook Community College, located at 1205 East Third Street in McCook. The session will take place in McMillen Hall Room #213, commencing at 6:30 p.m.
The agenda for the meeting, released to the public, outlines several key items to be addressed by the board members.
Under the section titled "Recognitions," the board will acknowledge the achievements of two notable groups within the college community. Specifically, recognition will be given to the MCC Phi Beta Lambda chapter and the MCC Women’s Basketball Team for their outstanding contributions.
Moving on to the "Consent Items" portion of the agenda, the board will review various matters pertinent to the functioning of the college. Notably, the resignation of Becky Meyers, a faculty member in Graphic Design, effective May 15, will be addressed.
Furthermore, the board will undertake a program review of the Medical Lab Technician program, with a recommendation to be made regarding its future.
One of the significant agenda items includes the consideration of a five-year contract for Jenzabar Campus Marketplace software. The contract, totaling $248,653.41, will be evaluated by the board for approval.
Lastly, the board will enter a closed session to discuss personnel matters, as outlined in the agenda.
The meeting serves as an opportunity for the board members to deliberate on various issues crucial to the functioning and development of Mid-Plains Community College.
