The DC-S boys are now 21-5 and will likely be seeded sixth entering Lincoln for state play on Thursday, March 7. They finished third among D-1 teams a year ago.

TIGERS (21-5 record) — Lane Bybee 15 points, Jackson Kerchal 10, Dante Horner 9, Lane Brown 5, Derek Noffsinger 3, August Shaw 2. Three-pointers: Noffsinger, Brown.
The Sutton Mustangs finished their season at 14-11.
With their 15-point lead trimmed to 30-24, sophomore August Shaw (12) calmly stole the basketball and finished his lay-up for two huge late points Tuesday night. Shaw's only basket stopped a 9-0 Sutton Mustangs surge. The Dundy County-Stratton Tigers went on to finish with a 7-0 run which clinched their 46-33 victory over D1-7 district finals foe Sutton.

A few more happy Dundy County-Stratton fans in the mostly packed Southern Valley High gymnasium Tuesday night. The Tigers (21-5) will start their third consecutive Nebraska state tournament in Lincoln on Thursday, March 7. Pairings and tip times should be announced sometime on Wednesday.
