HAIGLER, Neb. — The Village of Haigler, rocked by several recent house fires, is undergoing a transformation as efforts to clean up burned-out properties gain momentum. These blazes left a negative impression on residents, commuters along Highway 34, and visitors attending local events. However, the task of revitalizing private properties is no small feat and demands coordination among various stakeholders and substantial financial resources.
Encouragingly, progress is evident as the cleanup initiative, spearheaded by a collaboration between the Collinsville Community Foundation and the Haigler Community Foundation, presses forward. This joint effort involves cooperation from property owners, the Village of Haigler, Dundy County Commissioners, and demolition crews from Doug Sessions Construction Inc. in Wray, Colo., and Jesse Mallett in Benkelman.
While there’s more work ahead, the community remains optimistic as this significant project unfolds. Stay tuned for further updates on Haigler’s revitalization efforts.
