Road maintence, plans on county agenda

McCOOK,Neb. — Road plans and seeking bids for road maintenance are among the items on Monday's meeting of the Red Willow County Commissioners.

Opening at 9 a.m., commissioners will convene at 9:15 a.m. as a Board of Equalization, when County Assessor Kristi Korell will present recommendations regarding tax exemptions on real and personal property.

The Board of Commissioners will reconvene at 9:30 a.m. to set the date and time to open bids for road maintenance and crack sealing.

At 9:45 a.m., a public hearing will be held regarding the One and Six-Year Road Plan and then consider authorizing the chairman's signature to adopt the plan officially.

Various other agenda items include discussions with Bill Henderson from the Frenchman Valley Co-op regarding fuel, reviewing informal bids for a backhoe, and considering a request for burial financial assistance.

The meeting agenda also includes a consent agenda covering approval of minutes from previous meetings, accounts payable claims, and several resolutions. Additionally, correspondence from external entities and various reports, including those from the sheriff, clerk, and district court clerk, will be discussed.
