MPCC sets plan for annual rodeo banquet

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team will host its annual scholarship banquet on March 2 at Venue 304 in North Platte. The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a prime rib dinner at 7 p.m.

The event, which is open to the public, serves as a time to recognize the accomplishments of MPCC’s rodeo athletes while also raising funds for the team.

Activities will include presentations by the coaches and athletes, live and silent auctions and an award ceremony.

Tickets are $75 each or $500 for a table of eight. They can be purchased until Feb. 23 at: silentauctionpro.com/login.php.

Anyone who would like to buy a ticket for the banquet or participate in any of the auctions will have to first create an account on the website.

The team will also draw a raffle winner for a Traeger Pro 780 Pellet Grill donated by Mike’s Motorcycle and ATV Repair in North Platte.

Mike’s Motorcycle and ATV Repair also donated a cover for the grill. Bomgaars in North Platte donated the following accessories:

A grill brush; A three-piece BBQ tool set - turner, tongs and basting brush; tThree bags of Traeger Premium Pellets in hickory, apple and a maple/cherry blend; a5-gallon bucket with lid for storing pellets.

Raffle tickets are $10 each.
