McCOOK, Neb. – Anyone going a bit stir-crazy from being cooped up at home should consider gathering their friends and enjoying a night of laughter, music, and food at The Hillcrest Foundation’s “Night on the Hill” fundraiser which will take place Saturday, February 10.

The event promises to include marvelous food and amazing entertainment that will have attendees laughing, singing, and dancing. The talented Dueling Pianos by Fun Pianos will make a return appearance from the 2022 Night on the Hill event, and they promise to engage the crowd with their unique brand of high energy and a wide range of musical genres.

A table for eight includes dinner and the show for $800. The doors at Memorial Auditorium open at 5:30 p.m., with the buffet dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m. There will be a cash bar.

There will be two items for auction at the event: a bar handcrafted by Randy Dean, and an original painting donated by award-winning local artist Don Dernovich.

Tables can be reserved by contacting any Hillcrest Foundation board member: Mike Skolout, Shary Skiles, Jacque Reiners, Bruce Hoffman, Kristie Daum, Bill Graves, Cal Siegfried, or Randy Dean; or by contacting Renee Wright, Hillcrest Administrator. A limited number of tables are available, and organizers expect them to sell out quickly.

Balcony seating for the show is only $20. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Hillcrest Foundation helps support the residents and staff of Hillcrest in a wide range of areas. A recent gift, combined with a grant from the Nebraska Arboretum, provided the funds for a massive revamp of Hillcrest’s grounds. The landscaping project included replacing much of the old plantings with easily maintained new material, replacing and expanding the irrigation system, and re-seeding and replacing mulch. The design of the space is intended to continue former administrator Don Harpst’s goal of providing a beautiful outdoor environment for residents, while at the same time, reducing irrigation and maintenance costs by using environmentally favorable plant material.

One of the foundation’s top priorities is to provide tuition assistance for staff to further their education or to complete certifications.
