Commissioners to meet Tuesday

Monday, January 8, 2024

McCOOK, Neb. — Red Willow County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday because the county courthouse closed Monday because of an approaching blizzard.

Items on the agenda include the annual reorganization of the board, electing a chairman, vice chairman; chairman and vice-chairman of the boards of commissioners and equalization and chairman and vice-chairman of the noxious weed control authority.

A public hearing for the one- and six-year road plan will be conducted and the plan will be considered for adoption.

Numerous board and committee appointments will be made, and informal bids for motor grader blades will be considered, and the board will consider advertising for a special-purchase backhoe.
