OGALLALA, Neb. — Tricky and tough best describes that wing-T offense Ogallala brought to play McCook Friday night.
The Bison built two early leads as they aimed to even their season record at 3-3 in this crucial district game.
Unfortunately, Ogallala’s revamped tactics worked all too often.

The Indians (4-2 record) stretched their win streak to four with 26 unanswered points clinching that 34-14 win over McCook.
Jaden Rezac was a dangerous threat as expected and some nifty reverse-type plays broke him free for 200 yards on just 14 rushes.
Rezac’s zooming 77 and 27-yard runs were the final two Indian TDs.
McCook moved ahead 7-0 on a sharp drive featuring several passes from sophomore quarterback Trenton Raile in just his second varsity start.
One memorable third-down play featuring Raile rolling right and finding senior Patrick Gross for a huge conversion.
Senior Brett Fraker finished this drive with a five-yard touchdown run while Gross’ first PAT made it 7-0.
Ogallala responded with its first thundering drive and two-point play as Harry Caskey scored.
However, the Bison responded again thanks mainly to a well-timed shovel pass which Fraker took more than 40 yards.
Senior Jackson Dellevoet soon scored his second TD in two games and Gross gave McCook a 14-8 lead.
Yet the relentless Indians simply could not be slowed enough. McCook missed one field goal that would have made it 22-17.
