Tigers top Raiders to reach 5-0; full weekend schedule
BENKELMAN, Neb. — A 38-0 first quarter helped Dundy County-Stratton make quick work of its 66-14 victory over Medicine Valley Thursday evening.
The Tigers (5-0 record) — ranked D-2 No. 3 in this week’s Omaha World-Herald — have only been played within 14 points once so far this season when they beat Perkins 34-20 two weeks ago.
They’ve won their last three contests by a 48-7 average score.
Not many more details were obtained about this mercy-rule shortened contest.
Sophomore Dante Horner rushed 10 times for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
The Medicine Valley Raiders slipped to 0-5 this season.
Hopefully, bad weather will hold off tonight because several area teams are playing at home including McCook hosting 4-0 Sidney at Weiland Field.
