CURTIS, Neb. — A 41-point second quarter helped Maywood-Hayes Center remain kings of Frontier County football with Friday’s 70-36 win over Medicine Valley.

Senior Jeremiah Ingison caught three touchdown passes among his five grabs for 140 yards.

Junior quarterback Kody Schwenk played catch with Ingison while completing seven of 10 throws overall for 144.

Sophomore Sawyer Dibbern finds some nice room to run for Maywood-Hayes Center as teammates like junior Carter Morrow (49, left) cleared paths through the Medicine Valley Raiders Friday afternoon in Curtis. Dibbern rushed for two touchdowns while May-Hay won this Frontier County rivalry game to even its record at 2-2.

The 2-2 Wolves’ 253 yards featured several more players getting involved:

— Junior Jaxson Anders totaled 81 yards on just four totes with one touchdown;

— Sophomore Sawver Dibbern drove through the Raiders to 78 yards among his 12 carries and scored twice;

— Schwenk kept the football 11 times, gained 41 yards and also delivered two TDs;

— Sophomore Grady Erickson (two for 16) finished the six rushing six-pointers.

Medicine Valley (0-4) countered with their own dangerous trio of freshman quarterback Mason Roblee’s 176 pass yards and freshman Ethan Brown’s 88 receiving.

Junior Brody Senff caught six of the nine Roblee completions, turning them into 80 yards and one Raider journey into six-point pigskin paradise.

Roblee was a ground workhorse where he carried 25 times to 74 yards and a score.

However, the Raiders couldn’t contain MayHay at all as a 7-0 first quarter turned into six second-period touchdowns.

The Wolves roared into halftime leading, 48-22, then tacked on another 22 second-half points.

Ingison’s 12 total tackles topped the MayHay defense while freshman Kade Broz stepped up to make 10 stops. Senior Gage Gerlach and Dibbern added nine apiece.

Senior Austin Roblee’s 10 total stops including four solo tackles topped the Raider defense.
