Dance team places at state
The McCook High School dance team placed in two categories at the 2023 Nebraska State Dance Championship. They earned fifth place in Hip Hop B and 11th place in Pom. Guest choreographer Kelsie Bliss worked with the team for the hip hop dance, said dance coach Jill Hill and out of nine teams, the MHS team placed fifth. The pom routine was choreographed by coach Jazlyn Hart and captains Brynn Hill and Sierra Eschliman. The team’s goal at state was for every member to feel as if they had their best performance, to be proud of themselves after performing and the team accomplished that, Coach Hill said.
