McCOOK, Neb. — A night of great music is planned for this year’s Concert for Healthcare at the Kiplinger Arena, Red Willow County Fairgrounds, on Saturday, Oct. 7 when Priscilla Block presents her Block Party Tour. The intimate, yet energizing show raises funds to support Community Hospital’s mission.

Country artist Priscilla Block draws listeners in with her unfiltered, relatable songwriting and catchy melodies.

Pegged as an Artist to Watch by Amazon Music, PANDORA, Spotify, CMT, The Boot, MusicRow, HITS, Sounds Like Nashville, Country Now, Music Mayhem and more, Priscilla’s honest and upfront approach promotes self-love, empowerment, and acceptance through her own blend of country pop and southern rock, dubbed the Block Party sound.

Early in the pandemic, Priscilla began experimenting on TikTok and quickly developed a dedicated fanbase. Her song, “Just About Over You” peaked the iTunes All-Genre song charts within 12 hours of release, the song was named one of The New York Times Best Songs of 2020, and reached Top 15 on country radio. Priscilla’s debut studio album was released in February and includes “Just About Over You” along with “Wish You Were the Whiskey,” “My Bar”, “I Bet You Wanna Know” and more.

Priscilla was nominated for the Academy of Country Music Award, New Female Artist of the Year in 2022, and nominated for 2022 CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Just About Over You”. Priscilla is a seasoned performer sharing the stage and opening for artists including Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, Kelsea Ballerini, Rodney Atkins, Justin Moore and Shania Twain. She has also toured with 2019 Concert for Healthcare headliner Ashley McBryde!

“This family friendly event is a way to bring the community together while raising funds and awareness of our local healthcare services,” says Jessica Bortner, Community Hospital Health Foundation Executive Director. “Funds raised will support the mission of Community Hospital in leading our region to a healthier future.

The Health Foundation funds healthcare equipment, patient assistance, program funding, healthcare scholarships and education, and the list continues.”

The Concert for Healthcare is one of two major hospital fundraising events. Tickets are not yet on sale but community sponsors are being sought. For more information about the concert, contact Community Hospital Health Foundation at 308-344-7222.
