McCook girls move on to state semis, boys must wrestle back

OMAHA, Neb. — The McCook High state wrestlers earned a nice night's rest after winning two but losing two during Nebraska State quarterfinal matches Thursday evening.

Both Bison girls have qualified for the Friday night "Big Show" semifinals after dominating their second consecutive foes.

Sophomore Ambie Custard has pinned both her 125-pound opponents within 2:)8.

Junior Makayla Pate returns to the 170-pound semis after Omaha Benson's Alexa Karch could not contiinue after 45 seconds of their quarterfinal.

Meanwhile, both freshman Tristan Campbell and senior Alex Anthony dropped Class B boys quarterfinals.
