Bison seniors keep focus through frackas with 'Makers

Action almost became a blur during Tuesday's physical Seniors Night game for the McCook basketball girls against visiting Cozad. A 14-point halftime lead was sliced to four, but senior Gracie Wiemers (right) and her McCook teammates kept hold of an eventual 51-41 victory. Wiemers scored nine points to go with 11 from senior Joy Rippen (below) while sophomore Brooklyn Gillen tallied 13. More will appear Wednesday and in the next McCook Gazette. The 7-9 Bison play next at Ogallala Friday night before hosting Ainsworth on Saturday.
