Fundraiser gift, salary negotiations on agenda
McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Board of Education has only one item on its regular agenda Monday night, a donation from the local McDonald’s concerning a fundraiser.
After the regular meeting, the board will meet in a closed, executive session concerning negotiations with the McCook Education Association for teachers’ salaries and benefits for next year.
Up for approval on the regular agenda is the donation of $211.17 from the McDonald’s fundraiser on Aug. 22-26, “Fries for School Supplies.”
Also at Monday’s meeting, McCook High School FFA officers will give a presentation on the national convention and board members will provide a report on recent committee meetings.
Superintendent Grant Norgaard will update the board on several items, including:
— The various Veterans Day programs at the schools
— Curriculum Work Days
— School Improvement meeting
— Safety Team meeting
— Tennis and track building update
— The meeting with McCook Community College on its welding program.
The Board of Education meeting is 6:30 p.m. on Monday in the junior high conference room.
