Sports projects on school board agena
McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Board of Education will be asked for approval on two items concerning the high school, at its regular meeting, Monday, 6:30 p.m. at the junior high conference room.
The first item requests approval from the board to move forward with plans/specifications with engineers from W Design Associates for a restroom/concessions/storage facility between the high school tennis courts and track.
This would not be the approval of a bid for construction. That will come before the board for approval at an upcoming meeting.
No other information was included in the agenda on plans/specifications with W Designs.
As stated on the agenda, the second item is to approve a bid to replace the McCook Senior High gym roof. All submitted bids will be opened on Monday, October 10, 10 a.m. in conference room A at the senior high.
Other items scheduled at Monday’s meeting include:
— A presentation by McCook Bison TV
— A report from the Programs Committee
— Superintendent comments. Superintendent Grant Norgaard will present information on the new school improvement process; “Rule 10,” that concerns accreditation requirements; and the recent “Connecting the Dots” career exploration for sophomores.
