LINCOLN, Neb. — A Denver woman was sentenced to 57 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, and her co-defendant, a McCook man, is scheduled to enter a plea of guilty on Oct. 13.

Tina Smith, 35, Denver, will begin a three-year term of supervised release following release. There is no parole in the federal prison.

Her co-defendant is Taylor Brown of McCook.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, beginning in February 2019 and continuing through May 2019, law enforcement utilized a confidential informant to purchase methamphetamine from Smith and Brown. Smith was found responsible for at least 30 grams of actual methamphetamine.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the McCook Police Department.
