Bison spikers conquer Haymakers in finale at Holdrege

HOLDREGE, Neb. — McCook delivered a strong 25-20, 25-20 sweep of Cozad Haymakers to finish the Holdrege Invitational play on Saturday.

Senior Lexi Quint and junior Kori Rippen both walloped five kills while senior Joy Rippen served two aces.

The Bison saw seniors Tori Honn, Gracie Wiemers and Quint all step up to deliver a big stuff block.

Senior setter Jaci Meyers was a double-double machine again with her 15 assists and 12 digs.

McCook dropped earlier matches to Minden and a three-setter against Scottsbluff.

The Bison took a 25-22 opener from Scottsbluff only to fall 25-18 and 25-16.

Minden won 25-15, 25-12 as Kori Rippen and Meyers finished with three kills each for McCook.

Quint joined Joy Rippen in ripping two kills apiece.
