HOLBROOK, Neb. — Ida Mae McBride, 89, of Holbrook, died Monday (Sept. 26, 2022), at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Neb.

She was born July 8, 1934, to Riley Gunther and Helen Catherine (Adden) Kuck in Oxford, Neb. She married Charles A. Breinig on June 1, 1952. She married Jim McBride on July 24, 1993 in McCook, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Joseph Kuck.

Survivors include her husband, Jim of Holbrook; children, Doug (Deb) Breinig, Cambridge, Neb., Dennis Breinig, Arapahoe, Neb., and Brenda (Terry) Norblade, Axtell, Neb.; step-children, Debby Noble, Centennial, Colo., and Donna Ballin, Silver City, Ariz.; sisters, Martha Weaver, Westminster, Colo., and Eunice (Jim) Brant, Hibbing, Minn.; brother, Jerry Kuck, Oxford; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, 4-7 p.m., at Garey Funeral Chapel, 652 Main St., Arapahoe, Neb. Funeral services are Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, 10:30 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, Arapahoe, with Rev. Joel Rathbun and George Probasco officiating. Services will be livestreamed on “FUMC Arapahoe” Facebook page. Burial will follow at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe.
