EDISON, Neb. — Doug McCann, 80, of Edison, died Tuesday (Sept. 20, 2022), at Phelps Memorial Hospital, Holdrege, Neb.

He was born May 5, 1942, to Howard and Lois (Brawner) McCann in Oxford, Neb. He worked at the Edison Co-op.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; children, Annette McCann of Edison, Karla (Jim) Whipple of Cambridge, and Matthew (Nadia) McCann of Grand Island; sister, Shirley Griesbach; five grandchildren; and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tony; and brother, Brad.

Visitation is Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, 4-8 p.m., with family present from 5 to 7 p.m, at the Garey Funeral Chapel in Arapahoe.

Services are Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, 10:30 a.m., at the Edison Christian Church with the Rev. Kirk Einspahr officiating. Burial will follow at Edison Cemetery.

Memorials can be given in his name to the Edison Cemetery.

Garey Funeral Home in Arapahoe is in charge of arrangements.
