Bulldog fires 34 in N.P. dual win over McCook
MCCOOK, Neb. — North Platte’s Karsen Morrison was sizzling with 34 to win the nine-hole varsity golf triangular with McCook Tuesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs were able to total 169 as their other three golfers all finished at 47 or lower.
McCook showed some decent scores considering the temperatures approached 105 degrees at Heritage Hills.
Freshman Laney Peters fired 52 to lead all Bison golfers while senior Janessa Dwyer was just two strokes off that pace at 54.
Sophomore Haley Beideck’s 60 and 63 from freshman Abby Schneider completed the McCook team total.
Teammate Natalie Ruggles also gained some valuable varsity experience for the Bison.
North Platte brought 15 golfers into this dual, so Gold and White teams also competed.
The Gold team finished with a 218 featuring Madi Preece’s round of 43.
Winnie Haneborg shot 47 for the White squad was 14 strokes behind McCook at 243.
