Budget hearings set for county offices Monday

McCOOK, Neb. — Commissioners and department heads will get down to business on the annual budget Monday. Opening the meeting at 9 a.m. in the commissioners' room at the courthouse, the board will meet with CPA Dan Miller at 9:15 a.m. to review the latest figures and suggested changes in the proposed budget.

Later, Fair Manager Jiles Bowman will appear for a budget hearing at 10 a.m., Sheriff Kotschwar and Jail Administrator at 10:30 a.m., Greg Holthus of building and grounds at 10:45 a.m., and Brandy Bird of the county health department at 11 a.m.

During his appearance, Bowman will also request the use of ARPA funds to repair the ag complex, which houses the county health department and Farm Services Agency.
