Area stars deliver strong performances at Scottsbluff

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — Wauneta-Palisade's Alexa Sandman served 10 points and Hitchcock County's Lindsey Rippen sent out 12 assists for the East during a five-set West Nebraska All-Star Volleyball match Saturday afternoon.

Medicine Valley alum Kaylyn Roblee ripped there kills with three blocks and three digs.

However, the West prevailed 25-21, 25-18, 28-26, 19-25 and 9-15 as Chase County's Jerzee Milner totaled 22 assists, four blocks and eight digs.

Longhorn 2022 classmate Chloe Dillan contributed five service points.

West NVP Jacey Garrett from Chadron made 32 digs.

Rippen also served four points while hustling to eight digs.

Sandman totaled two aces and joined Rippen in leading the East in assists with seven. She added six more digs.

The East later earned a split of this annual since their All-Star football team won 31-24 over West All-Stars. Several Gazette-area players were involved including McCook High alum Logan Havlicek.

No individual stats for these stars had been obtained this morning.
