God lifts them up; and God puts them down

Man’s choice is not always God’s choice. Jacob chose Rachael. God chose Leah.

The people chose the tall handsome man Saul; God chose David.

God chose Solomon, but he followed after the idols of his 300 wives & 700 concubines. God put him down & raised up Nathan to usher in the Christ lineage.

Jewish tradition chose men to teach of the Messiah to come; Jesus chose a woman, Mary Magdalene to be the first to teach others (the Disciples) & preach to them, “He is Risen!”

I knew a preacher who was highly esteemed with only an 8th-grade education, yet called by God. He had 2 younger preachers to learn from him. He favored one, but the Lord took him. The one not favored went on to produce 3 generations of pastors & birth other churches & ministries elsewhere.

The pastor who had not favored him lost his church when he died in his early 80s to the hierarchy denomination sending in a Bible College pastor they had raised up & favored. There was no one in the original pastor’s family line raised up & called to be a pastor. His own family had gone adrift. His stubbornness against those who sought more biblical training in schools & his male supremacy to keep women silent was his downfall & that of the men & women in his family. They learned in repeated rejection, to seek his approval, instead of a personal relationship with God.

Despite this, on her death bed his daughter had some moments with the Lord and in spite of dementia setting in made things right with her loved ones & God in preparation for meeting her maker face-to-face. His sons only God knows if they made it. And 2 granddaughters walked with the Lord, for Jesus never rejected the women. One granddaughter wrote books based on her personal relationship with the Lord & taught others in places where women were not silenced.

There will be a 50-year reunion of the Old Pastor’s Legacy. The only family members, if any that go, will be those who still seek his favor or notoriety. The others still love him, forgive him & know God favored him for decades despite of his rejection of a few others God also called. And although he lost his own family, some still found a personal relationship with God after his passing. He lit the flame in some, as we all seek to please our forefathers, but only those who can get our eyes off our forefathers will find God in our own personal relationship with Christ Jesus that will not be silenced.

Don’t be so busy trying to save the world that you loose your children & grandchildren. Never silence another who wants to learn of God or is given an unction from God to speak regardless of their sex, nationality, skin color or economic status.

It was a different day back then. We learn of the Bible so we do not repeat the errors against God & His creation, not so we can keep evil rejection & superiority alive in male supremacy. ALL those made in His image are equal in Christ Jesus. Humans are no longer slaves or property to be silenced.

God will rise up believers from stones (cold, hard hearts that have been rejected & kicked aside) & they will cry out in Praise, Adoration & Worship to Almighty God!
