DC-S Tigers triumph at Southwest golf tourney

CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — The Dundy County-Stratton golfers delivered a 10-stroke win for Thursday’s Southwest Invitational team title.

DC-S shot 402 which topped Cambridge’s 412 with Hitchcock County and Medicine Valley tying in third at 418.

Maywood-Hayes Center totaled a 423 score.

Senior Nolan Burrell also won the individual title as his 92 was two strokes lower than Cambridge’s Brodie Mitchell (94). MH-C earned those next two places thanks to Ory Johnson’s 97 and Weston Buffington’s 98.

Lane Lenz from MV finished the top five (98).

Other DC-S champion Tigers were Cheve Lutz (99), Mark Nelms (102), Lane Brown (109) and Brodie Rogers (112).
