McCOOK, Neb. — Local pool players were recently recognized for winning the Fall Session of the American Poolplayers Association (APA) 8-Ball and 9-Ball Pool Leagues.

The Sunday 8-Ball titles were claimed by “Smallballz” and “KWITCHERSNIVLIN”, both out of TJ’s Family Fun Center in McCook.

Earning Sunday League MVP awards were Dan Olson, Shelia Ackerman, Chad Flaig, Lee Anderson, Dave Swanson and Justin Heffner.

The Monday 8-Ball championship went to “Frank’s Predators” from Frank’s in Trenton including (third photo) Deanna Brott, Roger Lewis, Madelyn McKain, Bruce Ackerman, Shelia Ackerman, Frank Seybold and Sandy Seybold.

Monday 8-Ball MVP awards went to Sandy Seybold, Chris Mock and Brandon Burton.

Seybold also earned Top Female 8-Ball player in the Western Nebraska APA region.

Winning the Thursday 9-Ball League was “We’re Solids, Right?” out of TJ’s Family Fun Center in McCook including (bottom photo) Drew Harms, Marty Bartlett, Roemello Grier, Kaitlynn Fisher, Steve Bartlett, Dave Stockhaus, Mike Templeman and Chris Schaffert.

MVP honors in 9-Ball went to Kaitlynn Fisher, Kirk Magee and Chad Flaig.

Achieving milestone awards for surpassing 500 matches played in the 8-Ball Leagues were Bryan Smotherman, Chris Schaffert and Laura Parde.

Winning teams each session advance to the Western Nebraska APA World Qualifiers to compete for trips to the APA World Pool Championships in Las Vegas.
