Bronco blasts to 29 and 12 while starting weekend sweep

GRANT, Neb. — Sophomore Peyton Cox led all area girls with 29 points and 12 rebounds in Wauneta-Palisade’s 61-53 win over Perkins County Friday evening.

The Broncos reached 10 wins this season they went on to stomp through Garden County, 71-38, on Saturday.

Junior Chloe Stenho joined P.C. as beasts on the boards, because she pulled down 15 rebounds away from Perkins.

Senior Alexa Sandman tallied another crucial 12 points and junior Cali Cox tossed in 10.

Together, they dropped Perkins County to 7-6 this season.

Saturday featured a super 21 points from soph GraCee Goings, who went through and around Garden County.

Sandman swiped five steals. Her four assists matched Goings and Cali Cox for Bronco-best honors.

Peyton Cox was double dominance on the glass again, powering to 10 rebounds. Stenho also secured another eight.
