BRADY, Neb. — A 21-10 fourth quarter send Anselmo-Merna girls past Maywood-Hayes Center, 53-50, in Tuesday’s Brady Holiday Tournament title game.
The Wolves (10-1) suffered their first loss all season despite building a 27-12 halftime lead.
Junoir Olivia Hansen’s 18 points paced MHC with classmate Lexi Wood scoring 14.
Freshman Aubrey Broz added another eight, but the Wolves fell short of their third tourney title in December.
The M-HC boys (5-4) dropped their title game, 58-38 against 7-3 Anselmo-Merna Coyotes.
Sophomore Haydn Farr was the only M-HC player to reach double figures as he scored 10. Senior Weston Morrow netted nine, but the Wolves fell behind 15-4.
