M-HC girls stay unbeaten; Wildcats sink Sailors
MAYWOOD, Neb. — A 29-2 first quarter ignited Maywood-Hayes Center’s 68-14 girls basketball blasting of Brady Thursday evening.
The undefeated Wolves (7-0 record) never allowed more than four points in a period to 0-6 Brady.
Junior Olivia Hansen made nine of 11 field goals for 18 points with that excellent 82 percent shooting percentage.
Freshman Aubrey Broz added 11 points to follow a fine game Tuesday where she led the M-HC scoring attack.
Freshmen Reagan Stengel and Kesli Cox contributed eight points apiece while classmate Kassidy Hatfield drilled two free throws.
Senior Stevie Handsaker hit the Wolves’ one three-pointer en route to nine points total.

WILCOX, Neb. — Arapahoe took a 10-5 lead and that advantage lasted through a road win over Wilcox-Hildreth Thursday night.
The Wariors (2-3) saw junior Emerson Swanson’s 12 points, senior Hope Koller’s nine and eight from sophomore Berkley Warner fuel this victory.
Koller corraled six rebounds.

WALLACE, Neb. — Senior Mariah Gardner’s 20 points powered the Wildcats to their second win this week.
Junior Karlie Finley netted 13 points and sophomore Kendyl Flaming 10 for 2-3 Wallace.
Finley also finished with 10 rebounds and five assists.
