Bison, Trojans finish top three in Unified Bowling district
McCOOK, Neb. — Lexington outbowled Cambridge, McCook and two other teams to win the Unified Bowling district championship Monday at TJ’s Family Fun Center.
Cambridge captured second place with a 780 score behind champion Lex (891), which advances its team to next week’s Nebraska State Tournament.
McCook placed third overall with 710 ahead of Southern Valley’s 655 and South Loup’s 651.
Cambridge rolled a 420 team score to win the first round over Lexington (38) and Southern Valley (326).
McCook rose to place second in the final round by rolling 395. The Bison totaled 315 during round one.
However, the biggest move was Lexington reaching 511 in that final round over Cambridge’s 360.
The final two-round total scores for each team: 1. Lexington 380-511-891; 2. Cambridge 420-360-780; 3. McCook 315-395-710; 4. Southern Valley 326-329-655; South Loup 292-329-651.
