McCOOK, Neb. -- McCook Community College’s Social Justice Club and Student Services invited students, faculty and staff in a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Monday at the MCC Student Union.
Members of the club led informal and education discussions about Dr. King and his influences.
Attendees were encouraged to add their dreams for the future to the “Dream Board” which will be displayed in Brooks Hall after the event.
The highlight of the MCC MLK Day was a panel discussion focusing on the influence of Dr. King on multiple generations. Featured speakers will include MCC’s Tarome Alford, Dwight Smith and Destiny Davis.
