Jesus, more than a savior

Jesus is the perfect embodiment of God, Himself. God wants to gave Himself as a Gift to each & every one of us. Whatever you need, He is your answer.

To the little boy who never had a father, Jesus wants to be your father. He said, let all the little children come unto me.

If you never had a big brother, He wants to be your big brother, give you good advice & guide you as you grow up & through the rest of your life. Jesus said He is the one who sticks closer than a brother.

To the Boy, Teen, Adult Male who never had the protection & acceptance of a Father, Jesus knows everything about you, loves you & accepts you. He wants to protect you by giving you good advice & a way out of bad situations that could harm you. He would never abuse you verbally, mentally, physically, emotionally or sexually. He would never miss use you, confuse you or treat you like a girl or a slave. Jesus wants to be your accepting Father.

To the little girl who does not have a Mom to protect her, Jesus wants to get you to a safe place with safe people who know Him. He wants to comfort you & give you a childhood filled with safety & new happy memories.

To the wife whose husband ridicules her every day, in whom she has never found favor in his sight, Jesus wants to be your husband. He adores every little thing about you. He sees how hard you try to please, He sees your tears at night, & He wants to be your safe place. You can talk to Him, He sings over you, you are the apple of His eye.

To the husband who works hard, long hours, & does not get to see his kids grow up, whose wife is never satisfied, always wanting to keep up with the Jones’, Jesus wants to help you with your burden, He wants to lighten your load & be the Friend you never had before. He has ideas, opportunities, priority changes that can correct all that seems futile.

To the elderly man or elderly woman who has been forgotten by all the younger generations, abandoned & alone, Jesus has not forgotten you, He never abandoned you & you are not alone. He wants to fill your days with remincing with you about all the good memories, He was there, He remembers. He wants you to read His Word & remince with Him about the rest of His family & the memories He has before you were born, & the dreams He has for the future. Jesus is looking for some people who have nothing but time, time they can sit with Him & think on these things.

Thought for Today: What do you need? A father figure who will not hurt you? A mother who will protect you? A big brother to warn you about what kind of friends to make & which ones to stay away from? A husband who will tell you he appreciates all that you do, that you are doing a fine job & He is glad you are His? Do you need a male friend who wants to do man stuff with you like working on projects together? Someone morally clean & safe. Or do you need someone to notice you are working 2 jobs, & missing your kids grow up?

You just want to be able to go to your son’s ball games, like the other Dads without missing a bill payment. Or you want a friend you can look forward to talking to every day? That you can count on to make time for you & you know he will stop by to visit, talk & listen.

Which one of these is your need? Jesus wants to be God’s gift to you to fill that need.

Say a prayer & ask Him to come be this for you, & He will. He is a gentleman, just waiting for your invitation. Invite Him into your situation.
