College sets rates, salaries for 2021-22
OGALLALA, Neb. -- Meeting in Ogallala Wednesday, the Mid-Plains Community College board of governors approved a 4% raise for faculty for 2021-22.
The agreement with the Mid-Plains Faculty Association also includes a retirement contribution match of up to 9.25%.
The board also delayed consideration of purchase of property adjacent to the Imperial campus, which previously had been considered at a price of $300,000.
Governors approved a $2 (1.79%) increase in 2021-22 resident tuition to $98 and a $3 (2.13%) increase in non-resident tuition to $128. Fees will remain unchanged.
The board also approved the 2021-22 academic year room and board rates at an average increase of 2.72%. No changes were made to private room rates.
Other major items included the purchase of three HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers with NVIDIA GPU for $72,475.68 and the purchase of one HPE Primera 600 iSCSI Storage System for $92,723.63, both from from Riverside Technologies Inc.
A clean audit report for 2019-20 was accepted from certified public accountants Dana F. Cole and Company LLP.
The next meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at North Platte Community College. Effective 2021 – all board meetings will be the third Wednesday of the month.
